Cedarwood developed, designed, built and continues to own and manage the corporate headquarters for Sterling Inc., the largest retail jewelry company in the United States. Cedarwood Development was instrumental in directing the purchase, rezoning and financing arrangements for Sterling.
Developed over three phases, the initial project consisted of two office buildings and facilities of over 356,000 square feet, built on 36 acres of master-planned rolling hills, streams and ponds. The first phase was fast-tracked - the construction of a three-story office building was completed in just seven months. A 3.5 acre lake with an illuminated water feature was also created during this phase.
The second phase included the addition of an award-winning two-story atrium, where interior neon lighting and deconstructivist beams bedeck a pre-function area that also houses two working jewelry stores. Also during this phase, Precious Gems Learning Center was built, a childcare facility for employees' children. The third phase comprised a stand-alone three-story office building with two wings joined by a full-height atrium. This phase three building was joined to the phase one building by a pedestrian bridge spanning a lake.
